The Kunchan Nambiar smarakam, Ambalappuzha under the department of culture Govt: of Kerala
Kunchan Nambiar Smarakam was founded in 1967 in memory of Kunchan Nambiar, the master of Malayalam Satirist poetry.It was opened to public by Sri.C.H. Muhammad Koya , the minister for culture and education, Govt: of Kerala. Dr. K.K. Nair a notable physician and man of letters was its first president and Sri.Sankaranarayana Panicker the eldest of Ambalappuzha brothers.
The Smarakam aims to the promotions and popularization of traditional folk arts. It imports training in Thullal to children. Those who had interested to learn thullal can apply for the same to the secretary.The training is for three years and the successful completion of which shall entitle the children to get Certificate.
