5. Method of appointment: Direct Recruitment (From Low Paid Employees in Kerala
Municipal Common Service only)

Applications are invited only from low paid employees holding posts having scale of pay
below Rs.9940-15680/- in regular service of Municipalities and Corporations of Kerala for
appointment as Lower Division Clerk/Bill Collector in the 5% (Five percent) of the total
vacancies reserved for filling through direct recruitment arising in the cadre of Lower Division
Clerk/Bill Collector in Kerala State Municipal Common Service as per G.O (Ms.)66/80/LSD
dated 17.03.1980.

(a) Candidates holding low paid posts having scale of pay below Rs.9940-15680/- in
regular service in Kerala State Municipal Common Service can apply for the above post. The
applicant should obtain a Certificate from the Head of Office showing their service particulars
in the form given below and produce the same as and when required by the Commission.
Persons appointed through Employment Exchange or otherwise and working on a
temporary/provisional/ basis are not eligible to apply for the post in response to this
notification.

up of 3% backlog vacancies during 2004-07.

i).The Ranked List prepared in pursuance of this notification is intended to make recruitment to the backlog vacancies earmarked for the various categories and PH groups as per GO (P) No 7/2011/SWD dated 24/01/2011 and will remain in force for a maximum period of three years subject to the condition that the ranked list will cease to exist as and when candidates are advised and appointed against the

 

above mentioned vacancies. Rules 14 to 17 of Part II, KS&SSR are not applicable to this selection.

 

 

 

ii) Candidates will be advised and appointed against the above mentioned vacancies and also against the backlog vacancies, if any, reported by the Appointing Authorities as earmarked in GO(P) No 7/11/SWD dated 24/01/2011.

 

 

 

iii) Selection to the above-mentioned vacancies will be made from among the (Low vision, Hearingimpairment) PH categories found suitable for the post as per existing government orders and vacancies will be filled up from this category. Selection to PH (Orthopaedic Upper/Lower Extremities) had already been notified in the Gazette dated 30.04.2012 as Cat.No. 225/2012).

 

 

 

5. Method of appointmentDirect Recruitment - only from the candidates belonging to the Category of PH (Low Vision) & PH (Hearing Impairment) through Special Recruitment.

 

 

 

Note: Application submitted by candidates other than those belonging to PH (Low vision,Hearing Impairment) category will be rejected. Individual rejection memo will not be sent to them.

 

 

 

6. Age limit 21-50, only candidates born between 02/01/1964 and 01/01/1993 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for the post.

 

 

 

7. Qualifications

 

(i)B Sc/B Tech Degree in Engineering (Civil) of the Kerala University or B.E Degree (Civil) of the Madras University or any other qualification recognised as equivalent thereto.

(ii)Associate Membership Diploma of the Institution of Engineers India in Civil Engineering or any other Diploma recognised as equivalent thereto.

 

 

 

OR

 

 

 

(iii)Pass in sections ‘A’ and ‘B’ of the Associate Membership Examinations of the Institution ofEngineers India in Civil Engineering.

6. Age : (1) Locomotor Disability, Cerebral Palsy – 18-46. Only candidates born between 02.01.1968 and 01.01.1996 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for

 

this post. (2) Low Vision, Hearing Impairment – 18-50. Only candidates born

 

between 02.01.1964 and 01.01.1996 (both dates included) are eligible toapply for this post.

 

 

 

7. Qualification :

 

B.Sc Degree in Agriculture awarded by Kerala Agricultural University or an  quivalent

 

qualification.

 

OR

 

A pass in Vocational Higher Secondary Course (Agriculture) conducted by Government of Kerala and B.Sc with Botany as an optional subject awarded by any of the Universities in Kerala or an equivalent qualification.

 

 

 

Note:- a) All the educational qualifications for teaching posts should be one acquired after a regular course of study from a recognized University in Kerala or recognized as equivalent thereto by any of the Universities in Kerala.

 

 

 

b) Every person appointed to the post shall be from the date on which he/she joins duty will be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.

 

 

 

c) In case a written examination is conducted for this selection, the admission tickets

 

of the eligible candidates will be issued through the official website of the Kerala Public Service Commission and the candidates shall download and take printout of the same.
