## What is GMAT ? Graduate Management Admission Test

The **GMAT**** **(**Graduate Management Admission Test**) was designed by *Graduate Management Admission Council* (GMAC) to provide them with a selection test for candidates applying for **MBA programs**. It has grown in popularity with business schools and it is now a requirement for over 1,800 MBA programs world-wide. The **GMAT** is usually taken by students interested in pursuing management programs. These days, there are a few management programs that also accept the GRE scores as evaluation criteria. It is best to check with your prospective schools on their **GMAT requirements.**

The four sections for the test are *Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative Section, Verbal Section and Analytical Writing*. Check out the **syllabus for GMAT 2014**:
